PROFILE BALANCING

Profile balancing is a customized dermal filler approach that focuses on overall facial harmony, rather than treating individual features in isolation.

Instead of simply adding volume to one area (like lips or cheeks), profile balancing evaluates how the chin, jawline, cheeks, lips, and midface work together when viewed from the front and side views.

Beofre appointment

To ensure optimal results and minimize bruising:

  • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen), fish oil, and vitamin E for 3–5 days prior, unless medically necessary

  • Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face if possible

  • Inform your provider of any medications, supplements, or prior filler treatments

  • Reschedule if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or experiencing active skin infections or cold sores

  • Avoid dental procedures including cleanings two weeks before and after treatment

Dermal filler treatments are precise and minimally invasive:

  • Your provider will assess facial anatomy and discuss your aesthetic goals

  • Filler is injected into targeted areas using a fine needle or cannula

  • Most clients report minimal discomfort

  • Treatment typically takes 30–90 mins

  • Topical arnica or a healing ointment will be applied to area after treatment

Post-care

  • Avoid touching, massaging, or applying pressure to treated areas for 24 hours

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and excessive heat for 24–48 hours

  • Avoid facials, advanced skin treatments, and massages for 2 weeks

  • Some swelling and bruising is normal and typically resolves within 7–14 days
